8 Charged in Identity Theft Scheme Targeting AT&T Customers

  Eight people have been indicted by a court, accused of stealing personal info from files at US telecoms giant AT&T and using the data to defraud tens of thousands of dollars from credit and debit cards. All were in the age group of 21 – 31. The head of the group was Syrilien who was an employee of Interactive Response Technologies (IRT), IRT is a third party which provides staffing for call centers to handle direct sales and customer inquiries for AT&T.
