On Thursday, January 1, 2015, Atlanta NAACP will hold its annual Jubilee Day celebration in observance of the Emancipation Proclamation at Mount Ephraim Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Jubilee Day celebration will highlight disparities in the recent killing of African-American males and how they are profiled and murdered without justifiable cause or consequence.
Rev. Dr. R. L. White, Jr., Pastor of Mount Ephraim Baptist Church, will serve as this year’s speaker. The celebration will be followed by a solidarity march.
The event is free and open to the public.
