A 57-year-old man has been sentenced to four life sentences after a Llano County jury found him guilty of four counts of sexual abuse of children on Dec. 17.
Evidence presented at the trial revealed that Russell Lee Burke has been accused of molesting at least three other young children who were close in age to the 7-year-old. All three victims traveled to Llano to testify at the trial. One of the victims who shared her testimony was abused by Burke from 1985 to 1989.
Burke — previously known as Hubert Lee Burke in Colorado — moved to Horseshoe Bay from Colorado in the summer of 2011 and befriended a couple who lived there.
