Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii hosts annual ‘Brunch with Santa’

Santa was spotted at a brunch Saturday morning, and although he wasn’t the “biggest” draw, he wasn’t the “only draw.”

Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii held its 29th annual Brunch with Santa at Dole Cannery on Saturday.

Santa had a lot of back-up to help make the fun-filled day for the kids possible, including Pikachu, Star Wars Stormtroopers and other notable characters.

Guests paid $35 to get in, but some families from abuse shelters were treated to the fun-filled day for free.

“Well the money raised is for our prevention programs for child abuse and neglect prevention programs for all the keiki in Hawaii,” said Aileen Deese, executive director of Prevent Child Abuse Hawaii.
