2 arrested on credit card fraud charges related to Blue Hills car break-ins

State Police arrested two people on numerous credit card fraud charges following a rash of car break-ins over the past few months in the Blue Hills Reservation.

Troopers arrested William Fox, 37, of Hyde Park and Ashley Pina, 32, of Bridgewater on Saturday on charges including larceny, conspiracy, credit card fraud, forgery and identity fraud, said Trooper Reid Bagley, a State Police spokesman.

Troopers from the Milton State Police barracks, the H Troop Community Action Team and other H Troop investigators started surveillance in the Blue Hills Reservation at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Based on information from Trooper Eugene Lawrence, Trooper Vincent Noe stopped a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that Fox was driving at 10:30 a.m. Pina was in the passenger seat.

Fox and Pina were arrested and held on $50,000 bail.

Fox, who faces 33 charges, and Pina, who faces 41 charges, were to be arraigned in Quincy District Court.
