The new year stands before us full of endless possibilities. While you are planning your yearly goals, make sure you start with yourself and your mental health. Here are a few tips to get you started.
Tip #1 – Live life with no regrets.
I have found that when you live life without regrets and look at everything as happening for a reason or to help you learn better ways to cope, life is less stressful!
Tip #2 – Eliminate fear.
Fear is a road block and detour from accomplishing the things that you choose to accomplish. So minimize the things that elicit fear in your life and face them head on, when you can, to totally eliminate fear altogether.
Tip #3 – Be confident in your decisions and choices.
When I make difficult decisions, I usually weigh the pros and cons heavily so I know that I made my choice without any doubt or uncertainty. When you are confident and recognize that your choices give you freedom, you will go further in this new year without a doubt.
Tip #4 – Acknowledge that all people have a purpose.
In 2015, I plan to utilize all the connections that I have made in my weekly networking endeavors. Every person has talents and gifts that they do better than the next person so take advantage of this and compliment them frequently. When you realize that being the expert at everything is awful for you and the next person, it will give you more time to focus on other things.
Tip #5 – Give more than you accept.
When you give to others, it contributes to feelings of gratitude and compassion for others and yourself. People that give often in money, material things, or time tend to experience more positive emotions than others and less mental health complications.
