HELENA – Republicans Representatives passed the Feed Bill. The vote fell on party lines with Democrats protesting the Republicans’ stance on the budget and health care.


Representative Janna Taylor (R-Dayton) took the reins as Speaker Mike Milburn (R-Cascade) was out of town. Taylor says she is recovering quickly from falling down the Capitol steps last week.

Republicans are considering rolling back the State run health insurance plan. This plan covers state employees and legislators. They say they will look at changing House Bill 13 to roll back the insurance numbers to the 2007 or 2009 levels.

Senator Jim Keane (D-Butte) is proposing a bill which would require any individual who uses a power point presentation in a legislative meeting to pay a fee ranging from $50 to $100. Senate Bill 6 would place the revenue from those presentation into the State Special Revenue account.

Senator Debby Barrett (R-Dillon) wants to make it illegal to cyberbully a hunter. Senate Bill 133 would prevent Fish Wildlife and Parks from giving the names of hunters to the public.

Representative Elsie Arntzen (R-Billings) is asking non-profits and other governmental agencies to pay back unemployment claims into the UI Trust Fund. House Bill 80 states the money will go towards extending unemployment benefits to victims of domestic violence.
