Powered by Max Banner Ads CAMDEN, Ohio (WDTN) – The Preble County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several cases of credit card fraud in the county. The sheriff’s office say it received 31 reports from victims so far. Most live in the southern part of the county. Investigators say the common factor in all the cases is that the cards were used at businesses in Gratis and Camden. Banks are reporting that many of the accounts were used fraudulently as far away as Georgia and Oklahoma. They say the transactions range from a few dollars for gasoline to hundreds of dollars in larger stores. The sheriff’s office is asking that residents check their accounts closely for any signs of fraudulent activity and be sure to check your credit report. Police in both Gratis and Camden are also taking reports. The total number among all three agencies is up to about 60 since Monday. The sheriff’s office contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigations to join the investigation. source: http://wdtn.com/2015/02/03/60-reports-of-credit-card-fraud-reported-in-preble-county/
