The newly announced Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 was just offered to Chinese consumers on Sunday via a flash sale. When the dust cleared, Xiaomi sold a record breaking 800,000 units of the phone over the 12 hour period of the sale. Not a bad haul for half a day’s work. The Redmi Note 2 features a 5.5-inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. A MediaTek Helio X10 SoC is under the hood, containing an octa-core 2GHz CPU (16GB version) or an octa-core 2.2GHz CPU (32GB model). The PowerVR G6200 GPU handles graphics. 2GB of RAM, is inside and a microSD slot is available for those who need more memory.
