Each year, the American Heart Association awards numerous $1,000 scholarships to high school students that lead American Heart Challenge events and awards $400,000 in grants to elementary schools that participate in Kids Heart Challenge events. This year, we are pleased to announce Alex White, a 2020 graduate from Fulton High School, is one of the American Heart Challenge $1,000 Scholarship recipients. White is a heart survivor, a voice for the cause, a leader among FHS students as an advocate in her community and beyond raising awareness and donations to fund research to fight heart disease and defects. She has educated children at elementary schools in Fulton, been the lead volunteer at her high school’s events and an ambassador at corporate events in neighboring communities. White embodies AHA’s mission statement: to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Congratulations!
