5 One of the most well-known Libra parenting characteristics is patience.
Now, patience is a virtue that comes in really handy when you’re a parent, regardless of what your astrological sign is. But as you probably learned the hard way, it’s not something that comes naturally to a lot of people! Unless, of course, you’re a Libra. Patience is something that a lot of Libras have in abundance, and it’s never more obvious than when a Libra becomes a parent. Libras are the stop and smell the roses, document every moment with a photo, hours of Play-Doh sculpting, one story turns into five at bedtime parent. They relish the small moments, and really put the experiences of their children over their own needs. Libras don’t stress over the dirty dishes in the sink or the toys all over the living room – they’d rather spend that time listening to their child talk about a bad day at school and helping them process their feelings.
4 Libra parents also make self-care a priority.
Finding time for ourselves and making our well-being and happiness a priority is something a lot of parents struggle with doing on a regular basis. But Libra parents value their own happiness, and see the connection between their happiness and their ability to make their families happy. Libra parents also tend to prioritize their relationship with their partner, instead of allowing it to be placed on the back burner while the needs of the children are put first. You won’t see a Libra parent martyring themselves and their own needs to make their family happy.
3 If you have an eye for the finer things in life, you might be a Libra parent!
Libra parents are very artistic and creative, and they appreciate the finer things in life. This doesn’t mean Libras are snobby or materialistic! It just means that they have an eye for the good life, and their choices they make tend to support that lifestyle. A Libra mom, for example, always leaves the house looking put-together, and they make sure their children reflect their lifestyle as well. But it goes beyond clothes and shoes. Libras also appreciate cultural experiences that will enrich their children, like art galleries, exploring new cuisines, and going to museums.
2 The Libra sign is a scale, so it stands to reason that Libra parents are all about balance.
The Libra sign is considered the most diplomatic sign on the Zodiac chart, and Libra parents really embody this desire for balance and fairness. Libras try to avoid conflict, and as parents tend to act as mediator between their kids to help them resolve issues equitably and fairly. The balance pertains to every aspect of their life, too; Libra parents are adept at balancing their roles as parents with other areas of their lives, like work or their own personal endeavors.
1 Libra parents may struggle with consistency.
Because Libras don’t like conflict, they can end up being inconsistent in how they parent and discipline their kids. Libras might come down hard, but will crumble and backtrack as soon as one of their kids starts to cry. It’s a constant push/pull for Libras, between being too stern and too soft. But this lack of consistency in parenting can confuse kids, and make them more inclined to try and test their limits to see what they can get away with. Libras manage to find balance in most areas of their life, except when it comes to be consistent as a parent.
