17-year-old Daisha Thompson was last seen by her mother on June 8 at 9 p.m. and was found to have left the house during the night
the following morning at 8 a.m., according to a news release.
Thompson actually had contact with CPD on June 9 at 2:30 a.m. prior to being reported but was untruthful about her age, the news release said.
Officers had no reason to believe Thompson was being untruthful, and no grounds to detain her without her consent for further investigation. When she encountered the officers, she was wearing a white t-shirt and dark colored pants, according to the news release.
CPD shared a photo from an officer’s body camera that shows what she was last seen wearing.
Thompson is 5-foot-5 and weighs about 110 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair and also speaks very fast according to the news release.
