EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) — An activities director and teacher at an Eau Claire Catholic school is charged with repeated sexual assault of a child in a school zone.
56-year-old Jonathan Jarocki of Regis Catholic Schools is charged with sexual assault of a child, child enticement with sexual contact, and causing mental harm to a child.
According to the criminal complaint, Jarocki allegedly committed repeated sexual assaults on the same 12-year-old girl at Regis Middle School in 2018.
The now-teenager says Jarocki was her math and science teacher at the time and claims he routinely touched her under clothing and at least once forced her to perform oral sex.
The child recently came forward to investigators.
Eau Claire Police arrested Jarocki earlier this week. Jarocki denied all allegations.
The judge assigned Jarocki a $100,000 signature bond.
A conviction on all three counts would carry a maximum sentence of more than 100 years in prison.
