An Upstate man has been arrested for child sex abuse charges, according to Attorney General Alan Wilson.Wilson announced the arrest of Kenny A. Swaney, 42, of Anderson, on multiple charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor.The Internet Crime Against Children task force, along with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, made the arrest, Wilson says.According to Wilson, investigators say that Swaney distributed multiple files of child sexual abuse material.Swaney was arrested on Dec. 15 and charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, which is a felony case that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, Wilson says.According to Wilson, Swaney was convicted of similar charges previously in 2017.
