An Airdrie, Alta., man accused of several child porn-related charges back in 2013 has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison.
Robert James Tyndall, 45, pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography and using a telecommunications device to lure a minor to commit a sexual offence.
Several other charges were withdrawn.
The investigation was led by the FBI after Tyndall was accused of trying to lure a nine-year-old Virginia girl over the Internet.
That led police to his home in Airdrie in August 2013, where thousands of images and videos were found on a computer and other devices.
