Because Anonymous’ level of technical sophistication has stagnated and its tactics are better understood by its potential victims, the groups level of success will decline.” Well, the ramblings of McAfee are generally off target at best, but the fact remains that this statement does bear some weight. 2012 was a year wrought with political turmoil, war and oppression. Anonymous played an integral role in ensuring the free flow of information during conflicts and shed much light on injustices. This was accomplished through disseminating information and providing care packages, among other ways.
