Ansonia woman charged with burglary, credit card fraud in Milford

MILFORD — An Ansonia woman has been charged with burglary, larceny and credit card fraud after allegedly breaking into an East Rutland Road residence in October, police say.

The woman, Christina Wilkus, 32, allegedly broke into the home on October 18 and took a computer, money and a credit card, police say. Wilkus, who lives on Woodbridge Avenue, reportedly used the credit card to make $101 in purchases in Milford, according to police.

An investigation into the break-in led detectives to Wilkus, who was arrested on a warrant on Monday.

She has been ordered held on $25,000 bond and was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of credit card fraud and two counts of receiving goods by illegal use of a credit card. Her court date was not immediately known.
