Biography Of Gregory D. Evans

African-American cyber security expert Gregory Evans has appeared on CNN, Fox News, ABC News, History Channel, CBS News, NBC News, CNBC, Anderson Cooper, Entertainment Tonight, Hallmark Channel, US Weekly among many others. In the span of one year, Mr. Evans has been viewed or heard by over 20 million people, far more than any other cyber security expert.

While other cyber security experts received their knowledge from college class rooms, Mr. Evans learned from real world experience.  Mr. Evans became a hacker-for-hire in middle school. By the time he was in his twenties, he ran a million dollar a week business before the FBI shut down his hi-tech criminal empire. Soon after, he turned from criminal to cyber security expert. Just like in the movie “Catch Me If You Can,” Mr. Evans is the real life “Hack Me If You Can.”

Mr. Evans consults with high profile clients (top athletes and entertainers, among others) on how to protect themselves from cyber blackmail and cyber extortion, but he spends the majority of his time training employees of corporations from around the country and around the world the art of cyber security. This includes training employees that travel between countries on cyber safety and international travel.  His most recent overseas training included the countries of Ivory Coast and Cameroon.  In addition, Mr. Evans has trained FBI, DEA, ATF and other federal law enforcement at the annual Women in Federal Law Enforcement (WIFLE) conference. Mr. Evans also created three Continuing Legal Education (CLE) attorney courses that are currently registered with the Georgia State Bar Association.  They’ve also been registered in the past in Nevada and California. These courses teach state and federal attorneys about cyber security and how they can protect themselves as well as their clients.  He also believes that education is the key to prevention and thus, in the past 10 years, has lectured to over 50 thousand students ranging from middle school to college students.

Often people find cyber security seminars boring and difficult to understand, but Mr. Evans has always made his lectures exciting and engaging. He uses real world experience to teach what can’t be learned in a classroom. He brings along some of the most explosive hacking tools, spy gadgets as well as surveillance and counter surveillance equipment so people can get a hands on approach on how to protect themselves. Most importantly, Mr. Evans does not talk in computer lingo, but in layman terms so his audience can totally understand the topic.
