This week we are highlighting the book, Famous Firsts of Black Women, which features twenty-two outstanding Black women who have established themselves as ‘first’ in their respective profession and areas of expertise, such as civil rights, sports, education, politics, business, and the arts. The book highlights the lives of these courageous and daring women who have changed the course of American History. It also depicts their triumphs along with the hardships they had to overcome as well as their happiness and successes as they attempted to reach their goals. This collection of biographies goes all the way back to the 1700s and up to the present day.
