PALM CITY, Fla. — A mother checking her teenage son’s cellphone uncovered sexually explicit messages between him and a 48-year old Palm City man, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Deputies on Friday charged Glen Baker, of the 1100 block of Southwest Thoreau Court, with sexual battery by a person 24 years old or older on a victim 16 years or under.
The mother noticed sex-related text messages on her son’s phone from Baker. When she attempted to retrieve the message it was deleted because the phone was set to automatically delete the message. After the mother installed a cellphone spyware application, she found messages in which Baker referred to prior sexual encounters with the teen and asked for a picture of the boy’s sexual organs, which the boy declined to send, the report states.
The teen also accused Baker of threatening him, the report states.
As of Monday evening, Baker was being held at the Martin County Jail on $150,000 bail.
