Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a dynamic Desktop and Network Services Team Leader who is responsible for service quality and tactical leadership of Help Desk team members. This role requires a high level of customer service to establish and enhance positive relationships with IT customers. This opportunity offers tremendous potential, and will require immediate proficiencies in the following functions and responsibilities:
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
· Provide second-level support to all end users in accordance with current service level standards.
· Manage multiple, high priority value-add projects delivering quality results, on-time and within budget.
· Document customer information and detailed problem descriptions in Help Desk tracking system.
· Escalate problems in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and policies.
· Provide strategic and tactical direction for desktop, laptop, mobile devices, network configuration, security profiles, printer hardware, and software.
· Support remote VPN users and phone system.
· Deploy and update software using scripting and other deployment tools.
· Work closely with vendors to ensure Pioneer internal timelines and deliverables are appropriately met.
· Maintain records of IT assets, including software license management, using documented Asset Management procedures (Add-Change-Remove).
· Evaluate team workflow and processes; recommend and implement improvements.
· Review customer support requests for accuracy and monitor quality of work performed by the team.
· Develop cost model to deliver appropriate solutions that balance Total Cost and Total Value.
· Work on special projects as directed by the IT Manager.
Position Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Computer Science or Information Systems; leadership experience is required. Certifications in Server and Windows technologies, Windows client, Security, or Project Management a plus.
· Minimum of 4 to 6 years’ experience in information services with evidence of technical expertise in troubleshooting desktop, laptop, mobile devices, printer hardware, network performance and software.
