Associated Press GREENLAND, N.H. — A police dispatcher in Greenland, N.H., says multiple police officers have been shot and injured, but it was not known how many or how badly they were hurt.
The Portsmouth Herald reports that state police and officers from at least four departments have responded to a home on Post Road in the small seacoast community of Greenland, about five miles from Portsmouth. Officials are evacuating people from homes within a half-mile radius.
The newspaper reports police first responded after an emergency call announced an officer-involved shooting around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Copyright 2012 Associated Press
