Engineer II, Mobile Device Security (235-032112)
Description
Our Fraud Loss Prevention team seeking an Engineer to be involved in performing and supervising mobile device security engineering testing, hacking, and analysis. This role also will research handset hacking trends and information for TracFone handsets. The ENG II provides finalized reporting on mobile device security engineering testing/hacking results and issues along with detailed technical analysis. The ENG II also assists in performing and supervising training related to conducting Mobile device security testing, research, and hacking. This position helps to ensure that the technology components of the TracFone handsets, including both hardware and software components, developed in-house or developed by outsiders, are present correctly to avoid the manipulation or removal of the TracFone prepaid technology or other security components.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise mobile device security engineering testing with high efficiency whilst maintaining high quality and accountability.
- Conduct and supervise hacking related test scenarios as guided and needed.
- Conduct and supervise technical security and hacking research.
- Conducts and supervises technical security engineering analysis of root cause and solutions for issues discovered during testing, hacking, and research.
- Reviews testing, hacking, and analytical results performed by team of Engineer I personnel
- Provide finalized reports on mobile device security test successes and failures.
- Provide finalized reports on hacking and research related issues.
- Provide Mobile device security team with finalized information and analysis of projects and tools as needed.
- Coordinating testing schedules.
- Participate in creation of technical test plans and documentation
- Conducting and supervising technical reviews on security engineering related presentations and material
- Performing and supervising training related to conducting of Mobile device security testing, research, and hacking
- Help in creating, organizing, and reviewing technical documentation
- Supervise, stay informed, and research given issues of interest, especially those specifically for TracFone products, through on-line forums, chats rooms, news services, technical magazines, and other information sources.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 3 or more years experience is required especially related to wireless devices or engineering.
