Role Summary/Purpose
The FSO will administer and execute a strong security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Department of Defense (DOD) and be the executive liaison with the Defense Security Service (DSS) and other government agencies as required. The qualified candidate will be well versed in in all aspects of site physical security integrated service functions.

Essential Responsibilities
•Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities within the facility, including visitor control and personnel security. •Administer a comprehensive security education training program. •Use of JPAS, e-QIP and other security applications in the performance of FSO duties. •Process new security clearances and periodic reinvestigations for employees as required. •Conduct Industrial Security briefings and debriefings •Prepare Visit Authorization Letters or submit via JPAS. •Facilitate DSS inspections and corrective action as necessary. •Perform required self-inspections of security programs. •Coordinate with the Corporate Office on security matters. •Prepare assessments involving possible security violations and initiate measures to correct security deficiencies. •Manage all aspects of site physical security to include CCTV, card access and security officers. •Point of contact for all site level investigations; coordinate with Corporate Security, Legal, HR • Closely liaison with local, state and federal authorities on matters relating to GE loss prevention and investigations. •Management of workplace violence issues. Conduct WPV prevention and management training. •Responsible for management of site level emergency response and business continuity plan(s). •Responsible for conducting site level drills/exercises to meet company requirements and recording in companywide Gensuite application. •Report all security concerns/security incidents in Gensuite application.

Qualifications/Requirements
•U.S. Citizenship.•Hold a current U.S. government security clearance.•At least five years’ experience as a Facility Security Officer/Computer System Security Officer•A complete understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics
•DSS FSO Certification.•A thorough working knowledge of JPAS/JCAVS, e-QIP•Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or security-related field•A minimum of four years’ experience in physical security management.•Professional, confident, self-starter, resourceful, detailed-oriented with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to organize and adapt to changing priorities.
