We are currently looking for an experienced Forensic Analyst to provide expert technical services within our client-facing, digital forensics team. Based in New York City, the individual will work independently and on collaborative client projects and tasks. This position requires ongoing proficiency in forensic tools, practices and procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
- Acquire, preserve and process electronic data according to industry standards.
- Perform forensic analysis on physical, virtual and distributed devices.
- Produce accurate, evidence-based, high quality reports and presentations.
- Draft, deliver and defend expert reports, affidavits, and testimony.
- Continuously improve forensic skills through ongoing research, development and education.
- Provide creative and innovative solutions
Preferred Requirements:
- Work effectively as a team contributor and independently with minimal supervision or direction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in forensic techniques and tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK Suite, Nuix).
- Experience with scripting languages to automate investigative and routine functions.
- Experience with Microsoft, Apple, and Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience with server, workstation and mobile device hardware and software.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure components, as well as virtual and cloud environments.
- Creative problem solving abilities.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to changing priorities in a professional manner (triage, prioritization, multi-tasking, project scheduling).
- Available for travel.
- Current forensic certification (e.g., CCE, GCFE, GCFA, EnCE, CFE)
Education Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum three years’ experience in computer forensics or related field, or not less than seven years work experience in computer forensics.
