Four arrested in identity theft case

Four people were arrested after the discovery of stolen property for use in identity theft on Friday. According to the Lemoore Police Department, an officer was sent to the Faun Terrace Apartments around 11:02 a.m. after getting a report of loud music and suspicious activity in one of the apartments. When they arrived, the officer found that a woman in one of the apartments had a $35,000 warrant out of Tulare County for giving out a false ID to a peace officer. The woman was identified as 24-year-old Tulare resident Shereen Lynn Macias. The officer found three other people in the apartment: Sarena Tabares, Matthew Steven Maldonado and Gabriel Rodriguez, all 31 years old and from Tulare. The department said that when the officer attempted to talk to the subjects, one of them threw a plastic container out of a second-story window in the apartment. The container was found to contain the financial and identity information of a recent burglary victim in Lemoore as well as a handgun.
