Position:
Global Analytics (GA) department of AB Global Operations is a fast paced department collecting data, performing studies and producing reports in performance attribution, portfolio characteristics, risk analysis, benchmark data and other analytical studies for institutional clients, retail clients and private clients. It covers various services in equity, fixed income, multi-asset, alternative investment and etc.

GA Operations is in search of an Operations Analyst. The responsibility of the position includes but not limited to understanding the complex production systems, supporting the full production cycle, resolving various data issues, understanding business and reporting requirements, improving functions and processes. GA covers various services as mentioned above but each operation analyst often focus on some of the specific areas.

The person at this position will work closely with the GA Quant Analyst team and GA IT team, as well as the offshore team.

Job Description:
Specific responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
• Understand the complex processing systems, database structure, processing flow and data / reporting requirement.
• Support the full production cycle for report generation, including
o Collect and load data
o Set up accounts, benchmarks and securities for processing
o Conduct quality controls (QCs), troubleshoot and fix data issues.
o Generate reports and sign off reports on time.
• Work with quant analysts, IT and offshore team to understand and implement the requirements, and to improve the process.
• Create and implement new QCs to continuously improve data quality.
• Create new documentations and keep existing documentations up-to-date.
• Participate in project management and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

Overall requirement:
• Excellent skills in data mining and manipulation
• Proficient technical skills such as in using SQL and Excel
• Good understanding of financial market and instruments

Required:
• Well experienced in data mining and manipulation.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
• Good understanding of financial market and instruments
• Minimum three years of related working experience.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or Computer related major
• Proficiency with SQL (ability to read and write intermediate level ANSI SQL scripts)
• Proficiency with Excel (pivot table, vlookup etc.)
• Experience in UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Excellent analytical and communication skill (verbal and written)
• Client focused
• Takes initiative, self-starter, and ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to interact and form effective working relationships with analysts, developers, and other business units

Preferred:
• Knowledge of performance attribution, portfolio valuation, or corporate action
• Experience in project management
• Proficiency with Access and Excel Macro/VBA
