The day after a fugitive was dramatically arrested over the alleged stabbing murder of a Queensland teenager police have claimed that the death occurred as the result of a drug deal gone wrong.
Police had to smash through the roof of a Gold Coast home to capture the 23-year-old suspect yesterday afternoon in scenes filmed by a TV news chopper.
Police will allege the stabbing, which occurred in Allawah Street on Saturday night, was the result of a botched drug deal between 16-year-old Michael Brack and the suspect.
Michael had been dropped off in the area by friends and later died on the front lawn of an Allawah street home.
