Hollywood hacker accused of stalking

The infamous Hollywood hacker is now accused of stalking.

News4Jax.com reports that Christopher Chaney is being accused of stalking a woman in Connecticut. Chaney was arrested several weeks ago for breaking into the e-mail accounts of celebrities such as Scarlett Johansson. Now, the woman who is accusing him said he also distributed photos of her online and posted them on pornography-related forums.

“He summarily denies these allegations, and I think he’s demonstrated before that, if he felt he was wrong, he would say he was wrong, because he’s done it before on TV,” said Chris Chesnut, Chaney’s lawyer.

According to the Washington Post, the woman had a 53-page report that accused Chaney of causing her “serious emotional distress.”

Chaney is already facing 26 counts of unauthorized computer access and wiretapping. If convicted, he could face up to 121 years in prison, a sentence that would definitely be enough to cover accusations made by the anonymous woman as well. At the moment, his lawyer is concerned with the wiretapping charges.

“We are all open to resolve this,” Chesnut said. “He doesn’t want to drag this out and have a trial. He’s very interested in a quick, expeditious resolution but it has to be within reason.”
