Huawei’s Equipment Supply Agreement with Wateen and Qubee

Huawei Technologies Pakistan (Pvt) Limited has done agreement with Wateen and Qubee to upgrade their existing infrastructure in pakistan to support 4G broadband. he signing ceremony were held by the CEO’s of the companies int he presence of Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reforms; Mr. Mohammad Zubair, Minister of State & Chairman, Privatization Commission and the signatories, Mr. Ahmed Bilal Masud, Deputy CEO, Huawei Pakistan Limited, Mr. Naeem Zamindar, CEO, Wateen Telecom and Mr. Jamal Nasir Khan, CEO, Augere Pakistan Limited.

The equipment provided by Huawei will improve the coverage of the existing networks like Wateen and Qubee by enabling their customers to get speed upto 20 Mbps.

The network upgrade has been targeted to be completed till May, 2014. 


Ahmed Bilal Masud, Deputy CEO, Huawei Technologies Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. highlighting the global success he said ,“Emerging services require higher network quality where operators need to pay more attention to the quality of services; I am confident Huawei will provide the required support to the increasing complexity of network architecture through its multi-technology solutions and worldwide expertise.”


Naeem Zamindar , CEO of Wateen Telecom said ,  “We are aiming to set new standards in the broadband market by raising the bar for all stakeholders in the customers and take the whole eco-system to the lecels of data-service-provisioning comparable to international standards.” 

Jamal Nasir Khan , CEO of Qubee Pakistan said , ” This is a special occasion for us but also for the whole telecom industry in Pakistan. We are looking forward to become pioneers in providing unparalleled broadband services to our customers”.
