Perhaps after weeks of hearing speculation that Apple will unveil its next-generation iPhones on September 9th, today’s news is anti-climatic. Still, Apple has just made the September 9th date official by sending out invitations to the event, which will be held in San Francisco. The new iPhone models, presumably named the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus, will be unveiled to the public exactly one year to the day that the current models were introduced.
