
An unannounced LG smartwatch has visited the FCC. Model number “LG-VC200” appears to be a stand-alone model that doesn’t require the timepiece to be paired with a smartphone to make phone calls. The watch accepts a Verizon SIM card that allows it to connect to Big Red’s CDMA network. A rechargeable, but non-removable battery is aboard.
Besides connecting to Verizon’s CDMA network, the watch supports Bluetooth 4.0 and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi b/g connectivity. The FCC documentation listed a possible 3.5mm earphone jack. Wi-Fi direct functionality is disabled as is wireless hotspot functionality. There …
