St. Johns County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man and a woman who went shopping using credit cards that had been stolen out of a car. On Oct. 1, a couple reported that someone had broken into their 2005 Toyota, which was parked at the Matanzas Beach ramp, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the vehicle’s windows were broken and two cell phones, a woman’s purse and its contents were stolen. Two people using the stolen credit cards were seen on video surveillance at a Publix in Ponte Vedra Beach as well as a Target and Game Stop in Jacksonville Beach, according to the sheriff’s office. Further investigation revealed that a stolen credit card was used at several other businesses. Anyone with information regarding the incidents or identities of the suspects is asked to contact Detective David Sheldon York at 209-2446.
