Remember when the Apple App Store and Android Market (as it was called back in the day) would compete back and forth over the number of apps offered in each store? Now, with Microsoft turning to universal apps that can be used on phones, tablets and PCs, the app count in the Windows Store is said by the company to be 669,000.
