“I don’t think that people in this country have a meaningful way to engage with their government and part of that is because we need a new system and a new way of doing things –that became the birth of Votus,” says third year law student Brandon Harris.
In addition to comparing users’ V-score with political candidates, Votus users will also be able to compare their score with friends and politicians. Votus is open to any American citizen that wants to interact with their government. “We are trying to make it easier for people to see whom they should really vote for based on their V-Score”, says Harris who denounces the persuasion of political parties and media pundits who often use verbose language. By transforming the way people interact with American politics through social media, Votus hopes to reverse the current political climate and make public opinion count again. Votus, Inc. launched on August 1, 2014.
