MEDIA, Pa. — A 25-year-old Delaware County man was convicted of putting a spyware program on his father’s computer, a crime discovered after his father was killed.

A jury on Friday found Parth Ingle guilty of unlawfully using the computer when he installed the spyware to obtain e-mails, a felony. His 28-year-old sister and co-defendant, Avnee Ingle, of Pottstown, was acquitted of all charges.

The fatal stabbing and bludgeoning of 55-year-old Boeing engineer Arunkumar Ingle of Middletown Township in January 2008 remains unsolved.

After accessing his father’s e-mails, prosecutors said Parth Ingle learned that his father had been having an affair with a Philadelphia woman since 2003.

Police have said they do not believe the murder was random or motivated by robbery. They are still investigating the crime.
