CHESTER COUNTY — Thousands of residents of Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and other counties still have not responded to the U.S. 2020 Census, and that will mean lost federal revenue for a decade.

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania reported today that in the commonwealth, over 100,000 residents in ten counties haven’t responded to the 2020 Census. They have five days remaining, before the end-of-month deadline to be counted.

Casey said this will mean the loss of federal funding for “your roads, hospitals, schools and community, over the next decade.”

Residents can be counted at my2020census.gov before the September 30 deadline, Casey’s office said.

Counties contributing to the 100,000 uncounted figure are: Philadelphia, Allegheny, Montgomery, Delaware, Bucks, Lancaster, Chester, Luzerne, York, and Berks.
