The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says it has raised $3,500 so far through it’s No Shave November promotion. Deputies who donate $50 for the months of November and December can grow a beard and civilian employees can wear blue jeans everyday.

The money goes to the BraveBe Child Advocacy Center in Lincoln.  “When children are coming to us under state statute they’ve been a victim or an alleged victim of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect,” says executive director Paige Piper.   “They may have witnessed a violent crime like domestic violence or a homicide or recovered from a kidnapping or sex trafficking.”
