A 23-year-old Pearland man was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison after admitting to recruiting a high school girl and trafficking her for sex, according to U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick.
Dihlon Lee Davis pleaded guilty Aug. 1 to sex trafficking charges stemming from a 2016 case in which Davis used online ads for sexual services and rented hotel rooms where prosecutors said the commercial sex acts occurred, according to Patrick’s office.

The high school teen attended Manvil High School during the week and “engaged in sexual activity on the weekend,” prosecutors said.
Davis is further accused of providing illegal drugs to the girl and using her money to purchase the drugs he used with his “girlfriend – also a minor.”
He was also sentenced to 15 years of supervised release following his release when he will also be restricted from internet use and children.
He will need to register as a sex offender. Restitution will be determined at a later date.
