GOLAGHAT: The District Disaster Management Authority, (DDMA) Golaghat, in collaboration with the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), organized a two-day training programme for the Headmasters and Principals on school safety (an initiative towards implementation of National School Safety Policy in Assam) at the District Library Auditorium, Golaghat from October 23 to October 24.
In a press statement of the DIRPRO, Golaghat, it was stated that total 50 participants from various schools were present in the two-day training programme. The District Project Officer and Field Officers (Disaster Management) and Inspector of Schools, Golaghat were also present. Monjit Saikia and Trishna Hazarika from DIET, Dergaon and Mitali Baruah and Mridula Deka from CTE, Golaghat were present as resource persons for the training programme. The Fire and Emergency Service, Golaghat demonstrated on fire safety and search and rescue techniques.
