A SHOCKING new twist has emerged in the case of little Cleo Smith after her kidnapper’s brother was charged with abducting another girl.

Cleo’s disappearance made headlines across the world after the four-year-old vanished from the Blowholes Campsite where she was staying with her parents in Western Australia.

The young girl was found on November 2,  in a room inside of a locked house in Carnavorin, 18 days after she went missing.

Her abductor Terry Kelly, 36, was arrested and later pled guilty to kidnapping Cleo.

And now, months after his arrest, it has emerged that his stepbrother Ashley Bropho, 39, has been accused of snatching a nine-year-old girl from a park before taking her back to his home.

According to the 9 News Perth, Bropho approached the girl at the Jackson Wilding Reserve park at 10.30 am on Tuesday, before taking her to his home on Sackville Terrace in Doubleview.

Western Australian police said he encouraged the girl to engage in sexual behaviour before he was interrupted by a visitor.

The nine-year-old was then able to flee the scene and alert her family.

Bropho was arrested shortly afterwards.

The link between Kelly and Bropho was brought up during his first appearance at Perth Magistrate’s Court today.

The magistrate refused his lawyer’s plea to conceal his identity after he suggested there was a similar case involving a family relative.

The court also heard that Bropho is part of a community inclusion program and his carer was in the area at the time.

Police officers from the Child Abuse Squad charged him with procuring or encouraging the girl into engaging in sexual behaviour, as well as two counts of indecent dealings with a child under the age of 13.

He was remanded in custody and is set to reappear again on July 27.

The disappearance of young Cleo in October sparked a huge search with the little last being seen by her parents at the Blowholes campsite they were staying at.

The little girl was found 18 days later in a room inside of a locked house in Carnavorin, West Australia around the same place she went missing.

According to Western Australian Police, she told the officers who found her “My name is Cleo.”

36-year-old Terry Kelly was arrested and later charged with her abduction.

It was previously revealed that Kelly was obsessed with Bratz dolls with pictures showing dozens of them in the house where she was found.

It also emerged at the time that he watched Cleo’s parents’ pleas for help by following her mum on Facebook.

The doll-obsessed loner is currently behind bars awaiting sentencing.
