Three teens are charged after shocking video showed them dragging their teacher to the ground by her hair and beating her after she tried to break up fight

  • Two of the teens have been charged with felonius assault and disorderly conduct

Three students who were filmed brutally beating up a teacher at an Ohio high school have been charged with assault in connection to the attack. 

Two of the teens have been charged with felonius assault and disorderly conduct charges while the third student has been charged with just disorderly conduct, according to a spokesman from the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. 

The three are expected to appear in court soon, Fox 8 reports.

The assault left the woman with a serious eye injury. 

According to both Euclid Police Chief Scott Meyer and School Resource Officer Steve Shubert, the teacher – who has not been identified – put her own safety at risk in hopes of keeping students safe.

Police and school officials declined to show the footage they had of the attack.

A statement attributed to Christopher Papouras, Interim Superintendent of the Euclid School District, asserted that ‘this is not indicative of a typical day at Euclid High School.’ 

‘We are saddened and concerned that one of our teachers was injured, despite modeling positives measures, in the course of trying to deescalate a situation to help children.
