Dr. Wright Jones, M.D., star of Lifetime’s ‘Atlanta Plastic’, held a private event at his office, Wright Jones Plastic Surgery, on Thursday, May 26th.
Dr. Jones, a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, has traveled numerous times to Beverly Hills to study with one of his mentors, who is widely respected as a national authority on ethnic plastic surgery. In addition to training with top rhinoplasty surgeons in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach, Dr. Jones has also trained under Dr. Constantino Mendieta, a national authority on buttock enhancement and body contouring in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Jones has a special interest in breast reconstruction, rhinoplasty (nasal reshaping), and gluteal augmentation and he operates under a central mission statement: to restore and reform in a manner that is safe and practical. Dr. Jones explains, “I do not want to change who my patients are, but rather to help them become the best that they can be.”
The surgeon explained that he became interested in the reality show, ‘Atlanta Plastic’, after being approached by the production team and learning that his personal life would not be showcased, just his professional talents. “It seemed like they were doing something that’s never been done before; featuring an all-African-American cast of surgeons in the field of plastic surgery. They also let us spearhead the dialogue of body image in African-Americans,” said Dr. Jones.
Wright Jones Plastic Surgery understands that there are many great plastic surgeons in Atlanta as well as all over the country therefore clients can expect a unique and pleasurable experience from Dr. Jones and his team. “We are very candid. We are not a factory. We make it worth their [clients] wild through providing cutting edge surgery, quality results, and safety; but we also focus on the experience because, for me, it’s about the journey and what can we do to improve their journey. We have a holistic approach to plastic surgery,” explained Dr. Jones.
As Dr. Jones is a private person, it was an adjustment for him to be in front of the camera while shooting the reality show. But one thing he felt was important to share with the public was him praying before his surgeries due to the stipulations of discussing God. “The most important thing about me is my spirituality. I lead with God in everything I do. I pray about everything. I pray before I operate.”
