Last January 3, I requested to the developers of another penetration testing distro which is BackBox Linux that reaver (WiFI Protected Setup Attack Tool) should be added as one of the tools of the said distro. Then, on January 09; one of the developers of BackBox replied to my post and said, “reaver is now on BackBox repository“. Cool, it’s now in their repository now just like the BackTrack Linux.
If you haven’t installed reaver yet in your Backbox you can just enter these two command lines in your terminal so that it would be easier for you to install it:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install reaver
To launch the reaver, you can just type reaver in you terminal.
