Police has failed to register an attempt to rape case against a ruling PDP Sarpanch’s son despite complaint of victim, a teenage girl, in police station Khrew, Pulwama on October 11.
The victim, (name withheld) a 12th standard student and resident of Khrew area told Rising Kashmir that a sumo driver namely Umar Shafi son of Mohammad Shafi, Sarpanch of Bathand village took her to some isolated place after she boarded his enroute Sumo to reach home and tried to sexually assault her.
She alleged that the driver tried to rape her but she resisted his attempts and saved herself from his clutches.
