The Kansas City Plant is a U. S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration facility managed and operated by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing Technologies (FMT).  Our primary business is to manufacture sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation’s defense system.  Our goal is to seek innovative solutions that surpass our customers’ expectations.  To accomplish this, we research, develop and deploy some of the most advanced design and manufacturing technologies in use in the United States today.  All positions at FMT require U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

SUMMARY
 
Plans, develops and administers security procedures and programs for classified or proprietary materials, products, services, documents and equipment. Assures that training and internal practices, procedures and policies comply with National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)/Department of Energy (DOE) orders and any other applicable policies pertaining to security.  Conducts audits, surveys, special studies and prepares security plans and procedures. Familiar with all security requirements and policy.  Interacts with NNSA, DOE HQTS and other security leadership.

Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 will be conducted by Honeywell FMT.  In addition, a background investigation by the Federal government will be required to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and subsequent reinvestigations will be required.  If the position is covered by the Counterintelligence Evaluation Program regulations at 10 CFR 709, successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
