SENIOR TOOLS PIPELINE ENGINEER
BigPark is looking for a talented Senior Tools/Pipeline Programmer. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to work side by side with programmers, designers, and artists and be passionate about increasing the overall effectiveness of the development teams.
Responsibilities:
– Design, implement and support the content pipeline and tools for multiple projects across the studio.
– Maintain tools for performance and stability.
– Increase the overall effectiveness of the development teams by aligning closely with various disciplines on the development teams.
– Make recommendations for content pipeline and tools development.
– Develop art rendering pipelines.
– Develop new technology and tools within 3D software packages, write and maintain windows applications and building tools using scripting languages.
Requirements/Profile
– BSc degree or equivalent experience/education.
– Experience with high level / object oriented languages (C++, C#).
– Experience with Maya (Maya API and MEL script).
– 7-8+ years of programming experience, including prototyping and rapid iteration phases.
– Experience shipping at least two console or PC video games with next generation platform experience.
– Proven experience with end-to-end asset implementation for a video game project.
– 3+ years current game or multimedia industry experience.
– Able to collaborate effectively with artists designers and work across multiple projects.
– Able to demonstrate knowledge of solid software engineering practices, experience with SCRUM / agile based methodologies a plus.
– Self-starter who works well within a creative team.
– Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
– Dynamic problem solver with a strong math background.
– Passion for playing as well as coding video games.
– Ability to mentor other software engineers.
– Experience in the following areas UI, network, gameplay, AI, animation, physics, graphics, low level systems or sound programming is a plus.
