SPOOFEM.com Helps Fight Cyber Bullying and Cyber Stalking

Spoofem.com Re-launches Spoofabuse.com

ATLANTA, GA-Nov. 16, 2010 -SPOOFEM.com, (OTC: SPFM) a caller id spoofing company, today announced that the company has added a SpoofAbuse page to their website for consumers who believe they have been wrongfully affected by the caller id and texting service. Caller id spoofing allows you to call another number and have any number a customer wants show up in the caller id. The service was originally designed for entertainment purposes, yet over the years has been being used more frequently by cyber bullies and cyber stalkers.

SpoofAbuse.com, by SPOOFEM.com, is a service that will help protect a caller’s identity. It allows a person to block their number from being spoofed by phone abusers on the SPOOFEM.COM network. SPOOFEM.COM allows customers to send text messages and make it appear as if the message came from someone else. This can be a powerful tool when used right by law enforcement, however can also be a dangerous tool when used by a cyber stalker or bully.

“Although there are 3 main carriers of caller id spoofing, SPOOFEM.COM being 1 of the 3 largest,  our service only works on our network,” says Gregory Evans, CEO and Founder of SPOOFEM.COM.  “Although we have tried to work with other carriers over the years to help try to protect consumers from cyber bullying, other companies have refused to adopt a service like SpoofAbuse.

LIGATT Security International, a major shareholder of SPOOFEM.COM, does not support or promote anyone who is trying to utilize the service to commit any kind of cyber-bullying or cyber-stalking act. According to www.bullyingstatistics.org, almost 9 out of 10 teens have a cell phone, and about 1 in 5 will be victims of a text bully. About 1 in 10 teens engage in text bullying. Text bullying has become more common than traditional bullying, especially among girls.

By utilizing the SpoofAbuse.com service for free, a customer is able to input their 10 digit phone number to determine if their number has been texted or dialed by a SPOOFEM.com user. If a customer’s number has not been used on the SPOOFEM.COM network they now have the ability to block their number from being dialed or texted on the SPOOFEM.COM network.
