This week, we are highlighting the book, The NAACP: A Historical Perspective of the Georgia State Conference which was written in observance of the 100th Anniversary of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the accomplishments of various leaders and branches in the Georgia State Conference. The book covers the history of the National NAACP beginning with the Niagara Movement. It also includes reflections by Lonnie King and profiles our current President, Barack Obama.
