ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man suspected of driving under the influence stopped, unzipped his pants, and relieved himself in the middle of the police pursuit.
Dash cam shows Estevan Tapia, 26, stop twice as New Mexico State Police and Santa Fe County sheriff’s deputies chased his white pickup. He is seen holding a beer bottle and making obscene gestures at officers.
Tapia has been arrested more than a dozen times and had four DWI convictions prior to his newest offense, according to WLFI. He could face one to two years in prison if he is convicted of a fifth DWI.
Police arrested Tapia after firing beanbag rounds that struck him in the stomach, and he was later booked into a Sandoval County jail.
